Scenic Great Barrier Reef Flight
The Flight: Our 60 minute flight is the perfect way to gain an appreciation of the immensity of the reef. During your flight you will see over 100kms of the outer barrier as well as many inner island, reefs, and sand cays. We also fly over Port Douglas and the Northern Beaches of Cairns.
The Reef: Australia’s Great Barrier Reef is over 2,3000kms long stretching from Papua New Guinea to Fraser Island in the south-east of Queensland. Encompassing over 2,900 coral reefs and over 900 sand cays, this natural aquarium is home to some 1,500 species of fish, 360 types of hard coral and approximately one third of the world’s soft corals.
Green Island: Green Island is a picturesque coral cay situated 26 klms north east of Cairns. At certain times of the year pods of whales are often spotted in the vicinity of Green Island.
The Marine Life: Marine life spotting is a highlight of our reef scenic flights. Manta rays, large green turtles, dugongs, sharks, and at certain times of the year, whales can be seen clearly from the aircraft.
Your Flight Includes: Return hotel transfers Cairns area, a 60 minute flight over the Great Barrier Marine Park, Port Douglas and the Northern beaches of Cairns, Marine park permits and marine life spotting. Each passenger has a window seat.
Flight Departs: Daily from Cairns 8:00am, 9:30am, 11:00am, 1:00pm, & 3:00pm.
Hotel transfers are approximately 30 minutes prior to departure.

Lizard Island Day Tours
Your Special Day: Spend the day alone relaxing on a secluded beach or enjoy the company of your guide and the small group. The Island: Lizard Island is considered on of Australia’s most exclusive destinations. The Island covers an area of 1013 hectares and is situated 132 nautical miles to the north west coast of Cairns. Lizard Island boasts 23 separate beaches and is surrounded by many pristine reefs which are teeming with marine life.
The Tour: Fly low level along 300 kms of the Barrier Reef on your way to Lizard Island. Spend six hours on Australia’s most exclusive island. Enjoy a gourmet picnic lunch under the trees at Watson’s Bay. Your return flight to Cairns is via 350 kms of the rainforest and wetlands of Cape York.
Your Safety and Comfort: Weather conditions change quickly inTropical North Queensland. In the event of poor weather Daintree Air use only multi engine air-conditioned aircraft for The Lizard Island Day Tour. These aircrafts are capable of flying through and or above bad weather en route. Once on the Island we provide flotation devices for those not so comfortable snorkelling. We also provide stinger suits. The above safety gear and suits are provided free of charge.

The Cape York Day Tour
The Tour: Is designed to show you the major highlights of Cape York both from the air and by 4WD. Your flight is low level showing you the most beautiful parts of the Cape, most of which are inaccessible by vehicles. The 4WD section takes you through the Lockerbie scrub to the Top of Australia and then across to the Western side of Cape York to Seisia for lunch. The return flight is high level via the outer Great Barrier Reef.
From The Air: Sit back in air conditioned comfort to enjoy the ride and the breathtaking views as you soar above the rainforests, wetlands, silica sands, rivers, escarpments and beaches of Cape York. We will show you the Torres Straits, Princess Charlotte Bay, The Flinders Island Group, Bathurst Bay, Lookout Point, The Jardine, Endeavour and Daintree Rivers, Forbes Islands, Cooktown, Cape Flattery, Cape Melville, Cape Grenville, Cape Tribulation and the Iron Range National Park just to name a few.
About Cape York: Cape York covers an area of about 208,000km squared and is one of the most beautiful and diverse real wilderness areas left on earth today. The Cape consists of high rainforest clad mountains, low lying wet lands, rolling granite hills, rivers that flow east and west and that once upon a time were full of gold (and in some cases still are), huge waterfalls, white sandy beaches, towering escarpments and low lying savannah country. The flora and fauna range from the most delicate of orchids to the most robust of melaleucas which are home to thousands of birds, animals and reptiles. The Great Barrier Reef runs parallel to the east coast of the Cape. The Great Barrier Reef is made up of thousands of reefs and hundreds of islands which stretch from the base of New Guinea to Fraser Island in the south east part of Queensland.

Grand Cape York 4 Day Tour
Day 1: Fly low level to Cooktown over the World Heritage rainforest to join the 4 hour Cooktown discovery tour. Lunch will be served after the tour on the banks of the Endeavour River, where Captain Cook spent six weeks in 1770. We then fly low level, over 900kms of the coat and beaches of Cape York, to Bamaga. Overnight at Bamaga.
Day 2: We catch the early boat to Thursday Island to join the cultural tour of the island. We then motor back across the Torres Straits to join a 4WD tour through the Lockerbie scrub to Frangipani beach where we begin our walk on the top of Australia. Once we have walked on the top of Australia we fly across Cape to the mouth of the Wenlock River and onto Weipa. We spend a couple of hours on the ground at Weipa for lunch and look around Australia’s most northern mining community. From Weipa we fly down the western side of Cape York to Karumba. Overnight in Karumba.
Day 3: We fly from Karumba low level across the Gulf of Carpentaria to Lawn Hill. We then spend the day canoeing through the magnificent gorges. We overnight at Adel’s Grove which is situated approximately a 20 minute drive by 4WD from the gorges. Dinner will be a BBQ under the stars. Overnight at Adel’s Grove.
Day 4: After a wholesome breakfast we depart Lawn Hill on track for the Undara Lava Tubes. Lunch will be ready for us when we land at Undara. After lunch we join a 2 hour environmental and historical tour of the Lava Tubes conducted by the Savannah Guides. We then fly across Cape York to the Atherton Tablelands, Mareeba and down through the Barron Gorge for a landing in Cairns.
